SMEWC will be held the weekend of Feb 20th. Usual food, drink,
foolery. Laubauch promises to wrench on the VFR. Hasn't mentioned
posing but that's usually a spur of the moment thing. Co-ed naked snow
angels have never gotten off the ground, so to speak, but we keep hoping
(or worrying).

SME 14.9 Spring Shakedown, Southern Style April 30 - May 2, 2010
Location: Hunt's Lodge Motorcycle Campground Tellico Plains, TN Typical Tellico SME events unfold - eat, ride, tell lies, that kind of thing. Smaller breakfasts & dinners on Fridays, huge meals on Saturdays, as always, on your own for lunch cause you'll be out riding anyway. Be here or they *will* talk about you. Free range style camping available, ping Lori if you'd like a bunk. Most of the beds are spoken for already, but we can put you on a waiting list or see if the cabin-holders would mind squeezing you in with them. Mark your calendars. The fifteenth annual SabMag East event, the Burr Oak SME, will be taking place on June 3-6, 2010.
There is a block of 10 standard cabins reserved for arrival on the evening of Thursday June 3 and departing on Sunday morning, June 6. The rates are the same as last year and the third night is free if you stay two days. Reservations can be made by calling 800.282.7275. The block is listed under SABMAG. The cabins will be held until April 10. A deposit of $167.24 is required to hold a cabin (this is one night's rate plus tax). For the new arrivals to the list since last year. Burr Oak is an Ohio State park in the southeastern corner of Ohio near West Virgina. The roads and scenery in the area are spectacular. Hunt's Lodge now has a Facebook page (yes, I know, the ultimate in geekdom,
but hey, I can't be the only one who spends way too much time on Facebook,
so I might as well do something somewhat productive, right?).
Anyway, as I was updating the Events with the various groups that are coming in this summer, it hit me that we have not announced any dates for the fall Leaf Peep. I figured the nice thing to do would be to make the general announcement here where everyone can see it and respond accordingly. We had originally thought it would be the 4th weekend of October, but common sense and messed up vacations schedules have prevailed to bring Leaf Peep 4.0 to you a little bit earlier in the season, before the weather around here typically starts trying to get slimy.
